I hope you all enjoyed a safe and relaxing holiday season.

I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Past President Dr. Michael Banh and his Executive for their leadership over the past year. Their dedication and commitment have placed the Durham Ontario Dental Society (DODS) in an excellent position for continued growth and success.

As I begin my term as President, I look forward to working closely with our current Executive to serve all of our members over the next two years. Having been actively involved with both the DODS Executive and as a past President of the Toronto Orthodontic Club, I am excited to bring that experience to this role.

The DODS Executive is already using valuable feedback from our recent membership survey to plan an engaging lineup of guest speakers for our upcoming general meetings. Our goal is to deliver meaningful value to our members by offering multiple meetings that include continuing education (CE) credits—at no additional cost beyond your membership dues.

Based on the survey results, we will be hosting four general meetings with CE credits this year. Keep an eye out for the invitation to our first meeting, which will be sent out in the coming weeks.

We are also pleased to announce that membership dues for 2025 have been set at a very reasonable $50 for ODA members who register by May 16, 2025. New graduates are invited to join free of charge. After May 16, membership dues will increase to $150.
